This Hands-On Training represents a playground that consist of virtualized EPC and eNodeB alongside UE, that can allow beginners to get familiar with different 4G concepts.
Why this Lab ?
This Hands-On Lab provides a comprehensive overview of 4G networks, covering key concepts such as LTE architecture, protocols, radio elements, and main processes through a step-by-step, beginner-friendly approach, Our 4G beginners' lab introduces the fundamentals of Wireshark packet analysis, giving participants the opportunity to inspect protocols and packets, enabling them to gain valuable network analysis skills. participants will emerge from this Lab with a solid foundation in 4G telco basics, ready to tackle challenges and seize opportunities in the dynamic telecommunications industry.
Lab Objectives
- Gain a deep understanding of LTE architecture, including eNodeB, MME, SGW, PGW, HSS, and PCRF, to optimize 4G network operations.
- Develop expertise in LTE radio technologies like MIMO, modulation, multiple access, and carrier aggregation for performance enhancement.
- Master LTE protocol stacks and traffic analysis with Wireshark, inspecting GTP, Diameter, and SCTP for effective troubleshooting.
- Learn to manage LTE bearers and QoS, understanding default and dedicated bearers, attachment, paging, and bearer setup.
- Strengthen your knowledge of LTE security, including authentication and key agreement (LTE-AKA), for securing and troubleshooting networks.
