Audiences

This Hand-On Training provides an environment for managing the full lifecycle of Cloud-Native Network Functions (CNFs) on OpenShift, using GitLab as the source of truth and ACM/Argo CD for automated delivery. It supports orchestration, deployment, upgrades, and operation of Telco CNFs such as Open5GS across hub-and-spoke clusters, enabling comparison with standard Kubernetes workflows.

Why this Lab ?

This lab will cover end-to-end lifecycle management of CNFs on OpenShift, from onboarding to day-2 operations and platform upgrades, using native OpenShift features to keep CNFs stable in production. It blends focused theory with hands-on exercises and is designed for technical profiles responsible for operating CNF-based platforms.

Lab Objectives

  • Discover how to manage CNF healing during cluster upgrade, maintenance or Node failure.
  • Apply real world use cases to manage CNF entire lifecycle in Openshift
  • Uninstall CNF and associated resources in Openshift
  • Develop strong skill in CNF Onboarding in Openshift from CNF packaging to deployment/configuration.
  • Build skill and knowledge in CNF Scaling (1 or multicluster environment).
  • Get a better understanding of CNF self-healing in Openshift.
